Every Kubit report needs a time period, so every report builder has a time period section. This page covers the date range options, the Include Missing Dates setting and the time unit that sets how many data points a chart shows.

When to use

Date range

The date range sets which dates the report includes. Five options are available, and each suits reports you add to dashboards in a different way.
Date range picker open with the options Fixed, Last, Last Full, Since and Start Of, with Last selected, set to Last 7 Days, and a May 2026 calendar.

Include Missing Dates

Include Missing Dates is on by default. When it’s on, the report adds zero-value data points for dates with no matching events. When it’s off, the report skips dates with no data.

MCP prompt examples

“Show me daily sessions for the last full week”
“Count checkout events since Oct 1, 2026, by day”

Time unit

The time unit sets the interval Kubit aggregates data over. The interval you pick sets the number of data points on the chart in Query, Funnel and Retention reports.
Time unit dropdown open with Daily, Weekly, 4-weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly and All time, with Weekly selected.
Data Table, Path, Cohort and Significance reports don’t use a time unit. To split a Data Table by month, week or day, add a time field such as Event Month or Event Day as a breakdown.

Allowed time units by report type
