# Funnel Time to Convert mode

> Kubit's Funnel Time to Convert mode shows how long subjects take between steps, in up to 60 buckets sized by the conversion window.

Time to Convert mode shows how long subjects take to move between steps in a funnel. Run a [Funnel report](https://learn.kubit.ai/product-analytics/reports/funnel.md) with **Mode** set to **TTC** to use it.

## What the chart shows

The Time to Convert chart shows two things:

* The average time subjects spend on a step before moving to the next
* The percentage of subjects that take each amount of time to convert to the next step

By default the chart shows the time between the first two steps. You can pick any two consecutive steps, or all steps to see the time across the whole funnel.

## Bucketing

Kubit splits the chart into up to **60** buckets, based on the length of the **Conversion Window**. A bucket is one of these lengths:

| Unit | Bucket lengths |
| - | - |
| Seconds | 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 |
| Minutes | 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 |
| Hours | 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 18 |

| Conversion window | Buckets |
| - | - |
| 600 seconds | 60 buckets of 10 seconds |
| 1 hour | 60 buckets of 1 minute |
| 2 hours | 60 buckets of 2 minutes |
| 6 hours | 60 buckets of 10 minutes |

To find the right level of detail, start with a large conversion window, then narrow it to where most conversions happen.

## Constraints

| Constraint | Details |
| - | - |
| Partition | Only **Partition: Conversion Window** is available, at most **1 day** (or the same length in seconds, minutes or hours) |
| Steps shown | Two consecutive steps, or all steps. Any other selection shows an empty chart. |
