# Connect mParticle

> Send mParticle events to Kubit through the mParticle Snowflake integration, or connect the warehouse where mParticle already loads them.

Kubit reads mParticle events in one of two ways: mParticle's Snowflake integration forwards them to a Kubit Snowflake account, or Kubit queries the warehouse where mParticle already loads them.

## Choose a path

| Path | Use it when | Where events end up |
| - | - | - |
| **Snowflake integration** | You don't load mParticle events into a warehouse yet | A Kubit-hosted Snowflake account |
| **Direct connect** | mParticle already loads event tables into your Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks | Your warehouse. Kubit queries the tables in place. |

## Snowflake integration

### 1. Get Snowflake credentials from Kubit

Kubit provides the Snowflake credentials for the destination.

### 2. Add the destination

Follow mParticle's [Snowflake integration setup steps](https://docs.mparticle.com/integrations/snowflake/data-warehouse/#mparticle-setup) with the credentials from Kubit.

### 3. Wait for the first load

The integration loads data from the moment it's enabled. mParticle writes all data into [a single JSON column in a Snowflake table](https://docs.mparticle.com/integrations/snowflake/data-warehouse/#data-schema). The data is queryable, but it usually needs some modeling to perform well on large datasets.

### Historical data

To load older events, work with your mParticle Customer Service Manager.

## Direct connect

If mParticle already loads your events into a warehouse, and you've modeled them, connect that warehouse instead. You keep full control of your data model, and Kubit needs no extra modeling.

Follow the page for your warehouse under [Bring your own warehouse](https://learn.kubit.ai/warehouses/overview.md).

## Next steps

* [Bring your own warehouse](https://learn.kubit.ai/warehouses/overview.md): connect the warehouse that already holds your events.
* [Reports overview](https://learn.kubit.ai/product-analytics/reports/overview.md): build your first report on the events.
